Outdoor Adventureland - Moab, Utah

Moab is a gateway to numerous types of geological formations wrapped in parks, trails, and recreation areas.

The most notable of these massive red rock formations are the arches of Arches National Park and the mesas and buttes of Canyonlands National Park. A trip to the area can easily include both parks because the park entrances for Arches National Park and Canyonlands National Park are only about 25 miles from each other.

Moab offers an oasis of restaurants and fun spots to cool off after a day at any of dozens of parks and recreation areas within an hours drive of the city.

There are also endless outfitters and guides for those in search of even more adventure, from off the beaten path trails to offroad trails, rim tours, rock climbing, and kayaking.
Just be sure to ask your guides if they have the appropriate liscenses or permits to avoid tickets and fines for being somewhere you shouldn't be.
